My apologies for being gone for so long - I had been making some updates on another forum, so I'll compile them now for the folks that are reading purely on the blog:
- Total of 31,000 words, ACT I in the works.
- Additional sketches being received, will bundle/present them in the near future.
- Pretty much finalized the end game/character developments that are planned.
Just as a recap, here is a glimpse at the main character for you.
Main Character [MC]
- An early twenties male who had the opportunity for education. Originally going through college before the draft picks him up, however he sees it as an opportunity to go on an adventure and is glad that his life is changing gears. Is excited and romanticizes the aspects of war such as camaraderie and potential avenues to better himself through leadership.
- On a military standpoint, he gained his current rank through having previous education, and thus is extremely green and wet around the ears when it comes to warfighting. However, he is eager to learn.
- He’s a bit apathetic looking, however knows when to crack jokes. Overall he has a decent morale compass, and enjoys reading books. Likes to poke fun at other people, and receives it in stride. One of his major weaknesses is his lack of experience, and his inaction with people in certain situations.
- When he was going through college he had friends, however didn’t really feel super connected to them. He felt like his life was lacking a certain flavour, which he consequently threw himself into literature. From that came his thirst for adventure and a desire to change.
- He however does have someone he cares dearly for, however did not pursue for the sake of the current relationship they had at the time. Perhaps if he knew the feelings were reciprocated he would be more upset about being drafted.
